Our 3 Styles of Sauvignon Blanc:

At De Grendel, we produce two dry styles of Sauvignon Blanc and one sweet style. Our De Grendel Sauvignon Blanc is a tropical fruit-driven wine, the De Grendel Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc is a fuller and richer style Sauvignon Blanc that has been lightly oaked, and our De Grendel Noble Late Harvest is deliciously sweet and also made from Sauvignon Blanc.

Whether you like an easy sipper for warmer days, prefer something with a bit more body to enjoy with a meal or want something sweet to round off the perfect dinner, De Grendel has it all.

Food Suggestions

De Grendel Sauvignon Blanc - The lively acidity of the wine makes it an ideal companion to pan-fried calamari tubes with lemon and herbs, a crab and artichoke salad, or an asparagus, lemon thyme and goats’ milk cheese tart.

De Grendel Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc - The subtle creaminess makes the Koetshuis the perfect companion to vichyssoise, deep fried polenta and parmesan fries, West Coast crayfish, or a goat’s cheese and pear salad.

De Grendel Noble Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc - Noble Late Harvest is not restricted to being enjoyed with pudding. Rich liver parfait plays on the excellent balance between sweetness and acidity, while it is the wine's sweetness which will calm the umami flavours of a gorgonzola into a harmonious and delicious mouthful. Also pair it with mature soft cheese such as baked camembert with fig preserve, roasted nuts and sultanas, or a thick slice of caramelised grilled pineapple with a dollop of coconut ice cream.
