Secrets of the Barrel
Join us for our next Winemaker’s Dinner at De Grendel Restaurant, hosted by our Cellar Master, Charles Hopkins, for an evening dedicated to the craft of oak maturation.
This exclusive gourmet journey will feature canapés, a welcome drink, and a 3-course dinner thoughtfully paired with a selection of De Grendel wines that beautifully express the influence of oak, time and careful maturation.
It will be a rare opportunity to explore how oak maturation shapes depth, texture, structure and character in the glass, while enjoying an intimate evening of fine food, wine and storytelling in the beautiful setting of De Grendel Restaurant.
This event is presented by cellar master, Charles Hopkins.

A Winter Red Wine Tasting Soirée by Durbanville Wine Valley
Join us for a cosy, curated evening of red wine, live music, and celebration at Loch Lynne Wine Estate in the Durbanville Wine Valley.
Indulge your senses at the Taste of Terroir, where the winemakers of Durbanville Wine Valley will pour their finest red wines for your enjoyment. Explore the rich flavours and unique characteristics of this cool-climate region, all while mingling with the passionate creators behind the bottles.
The fireplaces at Loch Lynne will be lit, offering warmth and comfort as you savour each sip in a relaxed and elegant setting.

Join us at De Grendel Restaurant for our next Winemaker’s Dinner, hosted by our Winemaker, Morgan Steyn, for an evening celebrating one of wine’s most iconic pairings: steak and Shiraz.
The evening begins with a welcome drink, followed by a 4-course dinner expertly paired with a selection of De Grendel wines. Along the way, Morgan will share the stories behind the wines and explore what makes Shiraz such a remarkable partner to perfectly prepared steak.
