After months of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to welcome you back to De Grendel. Although we are only open for a limited amount of people to adhere to COVID-19 regulations, we look forward to introduce our various Estate Experiences to you.

Wine Tasting at De Grendel

The views of Table Mountain and Cape Town from the long glass encased verandah of the De Grendel Tasting Lounge are possibly the most spectacular of any wine farm in the Cape. Look out over the vineyards to the magnificent view of Table Mountain, Cape Town city and the Atlantic Ocean or relax in our spacious tasting lounge. 

Wine Tastings: 

Monday to Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm 

Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm 

Wine Sales: (off-consumption)

Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 5 pm

De Grendel Restaurant

Enjoy our contemporary Cape Town cuisine, designed to complement our range of De Grendel wines.

The Graaff family’s passion for winemaking extends to the philosophy we employ at our restaurant: the use of seasonal and locally sourced fresh produce, and a menu that is updated regularly, reflective of the unique culinary heritage of the Cape, and created with complementary De Grendel wines in mind.

Lunch: 

Booking times are Thursday to Sunday between 11h30 and 14h00

Dinner: 

Booking times are Wednesday, Friday & Saturday between 18h00 and 19h00 (Restaurant closes by 21h00 to accommodate the current curfew)

Farm Tours & Picnics

The De Grendel Farm Tour introduces guests to Springbok, Eland, Red Hartebeest and Bontebok while entertaining guests with stories about the history of the farm and the Graaff family.   

Farm tours slots:  

Daily at 10h00 / 12h00 / 14h00. 

Tour Options:

Farm Tour for 2, including a complimentary bottle of De Grendel MCC Brut: R580 

Farm Tour for 2, including picnic in the Eland Camp and a complimentary bottle of De Grendel MCC Brut: R980 (*Wed to Sun only) 

*Supplementary cost for an extra person is R200. Maximum of 10 people per tour. The duration of the tour without the picnic is +- 60 minutes.

Bookings for wine tasting, lunch, dinner, and farm tours are essential. Guests will not be permitted onto the farm without a booking to allow us to control the number of guests who access the estate and to ensure a safe social distance between all patrons and personnel.
